In Memory of Tim French MBE

We are very saddened to announce that Tim French MBE, former Chair of Ensemble Reza, has recently passed away. Tim was the first Chair of Trustees for Ensemble Reza and was an enormous support to the charity over many years.

When Covid hit in 2020, Tim kindly supported the launch of our Midday Music series.  Following this initial pilot, we were awarded grants from several funders, including Arts Council England, and live-streamed 60 concerts, reaching over 50,000 people through our YouTube broadcasts and keeping local professional musicians in work.  For many, these weekly concerts were something to look forward to and helped connect people across the world.  

His commitment, passion and dedication to the local community were exceptional, and he will be greatly missed.
