We’ve had the most wonderful time on our schools tour, performing Swedish folktale, ‘The Elves Porridge’ in 12 schools so far. Cheeky elves Adam, Matt, Sarah and Pavlos have been playing beautifully as always and Anna’s extraordinary narration holds everyone captivated, adults and children alike. One teacher commented, ‘The beautifully narrated tale, enriched by the spellbinding music, captured the attention and imagination of every child in the hall and inspired them to engage with music.’ We’ve also been told that Ensemble Reza’s tour visits are the highlight of the school calendar, which is a wonderful endorsement.
We only have three more schools left to visit next week and by the time we’ve finished we will have performed to over 4000 children and almost 200 teachers. What a privilege it is to be able to perform live music to such welcoming and enthusiastic young audiences.
