Bouzoukis in Broadfield!

Our lunchtime concert was wonderfully full today with very special visitors from Seymour school who sat and listened beautifully to our all Greek programme.

Sarah and Pavlos welcomed their great friend, George Tsolakis, to the stage and together they transported us effortlessly to Greece. When the group introduced their instruments, everyone particularly loved the baglama, which looks like a baby bouzouki and Pavlos explained that it had been made out of offcuts of wood left over from producing bouzoukis.

Next month is our final lunchtime concert in Broadfield before the musicians take a well-earned break in August. Do join us on Wednesday 23rd July for our lively finale to the season with lots of instruments and surprises!
