Dreams of Faraway Places

It was lovely to welcome such an enthusiastic audience to the Charis Centre on Friday night.

The first half opened with some familiar Mozart, followed by Night Music on the Streets of Madrid by Boccherini where the musicians had a lot of fun playing all sorts of instruments in all sorts of unusual ways. We then enjoyed Mendelssohn. Brahms and Tchaikovsky before the bar reopened in the interval.

In the second half, we continued our globetrotting adventures with visits to Tunisia, Kashmir (with wonderful narration by Parveen), the Balkans and unsurprisingly, given Pavlos was playing, Greece. As is Reza tradition, there was also audience participation (with solos on the mike!)

It was wonderful to be transported to so many different places and the stories told, evoked many emotions and memories.

Do join us next month for another concert at the Charis Centre on Friday 13th November. We would love to see you there.
