Successful season of free concerts

It’s no surprise to our loyal supporters that the struggle for funding has felt very real this year. However, we kept our fantastic free lunchtime concerts going - albeit with a smaller groups of performers - bringing live music to communities in Haywards Heath and Broadfield, Crawley. Our final Crawley concert on Tuesday was our largest event of the term, with our string quartet performing a selection of tunes including a Bach Toccata, Bartok’s Romanian Carols, Anderson’s Song of the Bells and Holst’s In The Bleak Midwinter.

Here’s what our audience members thought…

‘I really enjoyed today's performance... The Christmas Special - what a great atmosphere! Great choice of music, especially with strings and piano and of course an excellent performance. Thank you!’

‘Good to see the children entranced by the music!’

‘A wonderful concert scene setter for the season. Great mixture of new and old tunes. Thank you!’

‘Absolutely brilliant - I'll be back.’

Thanks to our funders the National Lottery through Arts Council England and the Peoples Society Trust , we’ll all be back again next term, with an even more exciting line-up. And if you want to see a repeat of this concert, there’s still time! We’re performing it next Tuesday (12th December) at Haywards Heath Methodist Church.
