Tuesday in Haywards Heath
Today’s lunchtime concert in Haywards Heath was an absolute treat. Pavlos performed Rachmaninov’s epic and sumptuous Sonata in G minor. He was accompanied on the piano by Andrew Quartermain and the audience was captivated throughout. The Rachmaninov was bookended by two pieces composed by two students from BHASVIC, with whom Reza has been collaborating. Mimi’s gorgeous Waltz opened the concert and Isobel’s Romance in B minor was a very fitting end to a wonderful concert of romance and apparently was inspired by Rachmaninov, amongst others.
This is just the start of a very busy week for Ensemble Reza. Next stop… Crawley this Thursday!
