Tantalising Trio

It was lovely to welcome such an enthusiastic audience for Tuesday’s lunchtime concert in Haywards Heath with Reza musicians Adam and Sarah being joined by Louisa Lam on piano.

The concert opened with Beethoven’s Ghost Piano Trio, with its captivatingly eerie slow movement which echoes motifs in the composer’s Symphony No 2. This was followed by Bruch’s lesser known Piano Trio which as Adam explained unusually starts with a slow movement and contains lots of influences from Mendelssohn.

The concert finished with Piazzolla’s ‘Autumn’ which was a very fitting way to send everyone back out into October!
