Music and thanks

A massive thank you to all our supporters who have helped us to reach our Big Give target - and more! In total you have raised £23,815, which will support our Community Programmes from January-July 2026.

On Tuesday we had our final free lunchtime concert of the year in Haywards Heath. The earlier start time than normal for our final lunchtime concert of the year allowed for the consumption of mince pies a’plenty and the chance to chat to other audience members and the musicians.

We then moved into the church where we were treated to an hour of festive fun and musical masterpieces, courtesy of Anna, Adam, Sarah and Pavlos.

The programme was so varied. We started with Purcell, Bach and a fabulous arrangement of the Sleeping Beauty Waltz, sprinkled with some Anna Cooper magic and then enjoyed various Christmas favourites including The First Noel with Pavlos on harmonica, Leroy Anderson’s very lively and upbeat Song of the Bells and my personal favourite, the obligatory We wish you a Merry Christmas.

May we take this opportunity to wish all of our wonderful Haywards Heath lunchtime concert-goers a very Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you again next year on Tuesday 13th January for the first concert of 2026.

If you missed the concert – come and join us TODAY at Broadfield Community Centre where we will be doing the whole thing again! Mince pies from 12noon and music from 12.30.
