Marimba Magic

The audience arrived early for today’s lunchtime concert in Haywards Heath, keen to get a good view! Percussionist Toril Azzalini-Machecler treated us to an incredible programme, in which he interspersed movements from Bach’s Cello Suite No. 5 with pieces by Kopetzi, Sammut & Piazzolla. It was fascinating to see Toril’s dexterity and skill on the marimba and several audience members commented on how they’d been transported to another sound world whilst listening.

Do join us for next month’s lunchtime concert with Trio Salona on Tuesday 12th May, which will doubtless be another treat for us all.
