Free Concert Summer Finale Fun!

What a wonderful way to finish the season before our Summer break!

Our final Free Concert at Lunchtime took place this Wednesday at the Christ The Lord Church in Broadfield, with the audience arriving nice and early (perhaps tempted by Lotus biscuits?) before taking their seats promptly, ready for the performance.

Six of our expert musicians proceeded to entertain with a varied programme, covering everything from Mendelssohn to Singing in the Rain, Leroy Anderson’s Jazz Pizzicato and a particularly lively rendition of Washington County featuring banjo! Everything was expertly arranged by Anna Cooper, apart from the Piazzolla piece, which Pavlos orchestrated.

We’ve so enjoyed our lunchtime concert series at Broadfield this year and are really looking forward to returning again on 24th September - mark your diaries now - the fourth Wednesday of every month = Reza lunchtime concert.
