Welcoming back our Community Orchestra to a new season

Welcoming over sixty players, we had a marvellously harmonious start to our new season of Community Orchestra rehearsals on a sunny Sunday in September. New members included four bassoonists who enjoyed their first rehearsal together so much, they’ve decided to set up a bassoon quartet too!

We attract players of all ages and abilities to our brilliant Community Orchestra, with players currently aged from 8 to 88. It was particularly good fun sight-reading Anna Cooper’s new piece “ 5’2 ii’s of Blue for Ukulele” for ukulele and orchestra, with 88 year old ukulele player, Kim reading the solo.

We’re always on the look out for more players. Find out more or press the button to join now.
