Case Study: Ingfield Manor School

Ingfield Manor School is for pupils aged 3 to 19 with neurological motor impairments such as cerebral palsy. Many of the students have a range of abilities and associated learning difficulties arising from cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

In Autumn 2020 we created a virtual project based on music and dances from around the world, including a concert by the Ensemble Reza sextet, creative music-making workshops, training and online resources.

The students enjoyed taking part and some described how this had made them feel ‘happy’, ‘excited’, ‘proud’ and that they ‘wanted to dance’. One student said the final piece had ‘knocked her socks off!’.
