George Tsolakis
George Tsolakis is a London-based Greek musician, known for his soulful vocals and guitar work. With over two decades of stage experience, he's a versatile performer in Greek folk, rebetiko, entechno, and laiko genres. George has played on stages from intimate tavernas to renowned venues like Kings Place and festivals across the UK, Greece, and Morocco, and was recently featured in the Netflix series 'The Club'. His singing is characterized by rich ornamentations and harmonies, deeply rooted in the traditional music of northern Greece, and inspired by modern Greek composers such as Manos Hadjidakis. A proud supporter of the Rebetiko Carnival charity organization, he actively participates in their concerts and outreach work across the UK. You can catch him weekly as a resident musician at Tavernaki Portobello, and performing with London bands like Amalgama and Plastikes Karekles.es here

Rebecca Hepplewhite - cello
Gaining first-class honours and a graduation award from the Royal Academy of Music, Rebecca has performed at prestigious venues in London and abroad. Her performance of the Elgar Cello Concerto was named in the Sunday Times ‘Top Ten’ and she is in continuing demand as a concert soloist. Rebecca also plays with established chamber ensembles and has recorded and performed extensively throughout
the UK with an emphasis on new music. -
Miriam teppich - violin
Founder Ensemble Reza member, Miriam combines performing with a busy teaching career. As Guest Principal / Leader and member of the London Mozart Players, Miriam’s performed in some of the world’s finest concert halls. International highlights include leading the chamber orchestra Jeune Orchestre Lyrique Français in Paris and L’Orchestre de l’Académie du XXème Siècle under the baton of Pierre Boulez.

Lucy Jeal - violin
Winner of the London Philharmonic/Pioneer ‘Young Soloist of the Year’, Lucy has performed Tchaikovsky’s violin concerto with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, guest led the Brodsky Quartet and performed with Alfred Brendel. Lucy is passionate about communicating through music and feels blessed to be a professional violinist - particularly when playing with Ensemble Reza!

Adam Barker - Violin
Proud member of Ensemble Reza and Trio Salona, Adam lives between the Downs and the sea in an old house with four walls and a roof that always needs mending. He loves playing his old violin ‘Giuseppe’, driving decrepit Italian cars and going for family walks with his whippet, Archie.

Matthew Quenby - Viola
Matthew Quenby has toured the world as Musical Director and Principal Viola of the European Chamber Orchestra. As one of the principal violas in the John Wilson orchestra and the Sinfonia of London, he has undertaken a vast number of recording projects, leading to many prestigious awards.

Anna Cooper - Viola etc
Anna won a Fringe 1st at Edinburgh, survived a tour with Oasis and has played and recorded with musicians including Cleo Lane and Jools Holland. She is now nowhere more at home than when performing with her Ensemble Reza friends.

Sarah Carvalho-Dubost - cello / guitar
Founding Reza member, Sarah Carvalho-Dubost won prestigious ‘First Prize’ music awards at Maîtrise de Radio-France, then graduated from the Royal College of Music with honours. Sarah teaches locally, also performs with Trio Salona and directs music courses including Pro Corda.

Pavlos Carvalho - Cello / Bass / etc
Founding Reza member, Pavlos has performed cello concertos with orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic at venues including The Royal Albert Hall and Cadogan Hall. He has won competitions across Europe and recorded for the BBC and Naxos. He’s Cello Director at Pro Corda, has given masterclasses at Cambridge University and is artistic director of Rebetiko Carnival, a festival & charity championing the music of Greece and Asia Minor.

Ros Hanson-Laurent - viola
Ros Hanson-Laurent studied viola at the Royal Northern College of Music. She then worked for the Menuhin Foundation in Bermuda and returned to the UK in 2006. She works as a performer and teacher in the South East and in London whilst living in Brighton with her husband and two children.

Ellie Blackshaw - Violin / Viola
After studying at the Royal College of Music in the 80s, Ellie Blackshaw played and taught in and around Brighton and a bit in London. She lives down the road with Jazz drummer and Priest, Spike Wells and a feisty grey cat.

Aglaïa Carvalho-Dubost (2025)
17 year old Aglaïa Carvalho-Dubost has performed the Lalo and Saint-Saens cello concertos. As a member of National Youth Orchestra, she has played at the Barbican, Royal Festival Hall and Royal Albert Hall. Most recently she performed on stage with her quartet at the Wigmore Hall.
