Ensemble Reza selected to become Associate Artists at the Hawth Theatre, Crawley

The Hawth's Associate Artists 2022

The Hawth Crawley is delighted to introduce their first cohort of Associate Artists who will work with the venue for the next twelve months. The eight Associate Artists all share The Hawth’s mission to engage, inspire and entertain and their ethos and working practices align with our own artistic vision.

Each Associate will benefit from a bespoke support package, created to suit their needs, this may include rehearsal space, advice on fundraising, marketing, dramaturgy, design and production, budgeting or finding venues and appropriate collaborators. In return the Associate Artists will act as ambassadors and advocates for The Hawth, actively engaging with the theatre, the local community, those we support and our programme of work.

We are delighted to have this new and wide-ranging group of creatives on board at The Hawth, and to be able to give them the support they need to develop new work for our local community and beyond. I have no doubt that each of them will enhance our programme of events and give us and our audiences a fresh, exciting new perspective to look forward to over the next year.
— Dave Watmore, The Hawth General Manager
With the development of our in-house production programme and Creative Department at The Hawth, offering an Associate Artist programme will further our position as a creative hub in our local community and the South-East. It has been a programme we have discussed extensively over the past few years and as we, and the industry, emerges from the pandemic, it feels like the right time to launch this exciting next step for the theatre.
— Sarah Slator, The Hawth Creative Associate
