Lucy Jeal

Lucy is passionate about communicating through music and feels blessed to be a professional violinist - particularly when she's playing with Ensemble Reza!

'Lucy Jeal is touched by a poetic feeling, an empathy for the spirit of a piece… a charm and grace which were totally disarming.' 'Newbury News'

She feels equally at home playing in the great European concert halls or giving Bach to Baby duo concerts around London, introducing many people of all ages to classical music for the first time.

Chamber music has always played an important part of Lucy’s life and has included piano quartets with Alfred Brendel in a worldwide tour including Carnegie Hall, guest leading the Brodsky string quartet with concerts in Holland, Italy and across the UK and travelling the world with the English Chamber Orchestra, occasionally on board Mediterranean cruises.

Highlights from Lucy’s early career include performing Tchaikovsky's violin concerto with the London Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall, after winning the London Philharmonic/Pioneer 'Young Soloist of the Year'; recording a studio recital for BBC Radio 3's 'Young Artists Forum', 'Through the Night' from the Apollonian Festival in Bulgaria and the unforgettable thrill of playing duets live on 'In Tune'.
